… introducing a beginning concept for success
“Money, fame, fortune” is an adage I have heard quoted most of my life. Don’t ask me when, where, or how because I can’t remember. The times and places elude me, but the words are stuck in my mind. I’ll try to bring them into the present.
The words have been routinely used as a measurement of success. I contend that they are but one method to determine the value of one’s achievements. One’s financial earnings through honest toil or a good business are certainly an evidence of success. Fame acquired because of your noted achievements or your notoriety because of infamous deeds can both be considered an acknowledgement of a kind of success. I do not recommend notoriety! To me, fortune speaks of more than cash flow. It tells the story of accumulated assets, and is definitely a bench mark regarding success in life.
The better foundation than the three forgoing ideas is found in the realm of “Spirituality.” Most folks have difficulty describing or defining spirituality. I am among them, but I know it may or may not be involved with or connected to a particular religion or to religion in general.
Even though I have confessed my lack in this arena, I will continue to seek a better foundation for success than money, fame, or fortune. I will strongly suggest that the reader search the Christian scriptures for clues that will lead into a spirituality that is well-founded for peace of mind, a positive outlook on life, and dependable directions to guide one in all transactions whether monetary, social, or political. That is the Better Foundation.
I have just described the better foundation as a Concept For Success. More will follow, so I invite you to write to me with your ideas or your questions.
