Don’t Ever Say Never!
Whoa! Wait a minute! Surely, they don’t mean it! Mean what? Life will never be the same? I don’t know about that! I have seen life repeat itself. I have seen history repeat itself. I don’t want to ever say never.
Life is always a forward motion. Let it run its course and it begins again.
I remember having friends I thought were irreplaceable. Guess what? They weren’t! That doesn’t diminish their value. It’s just that no one is irreplaceable.
Some folks will always have a special place in our heart, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t always room for one more. Did you read carefully what I just wrote? You don’t erase people. You place them in a special space in your memory. When that is successfully accomplished, you have just made room for someone else to be an important blessing.
At my age, I have many wonderful memories of a plethora of special people I have communed with along the pathway of life. Many (if not most) of them are now in Heaven. Someday I will join them; meanwhile, I have many new friends and family members to enjoy, inspire, education, and entertain. Yes, I said “entertain.” Believe me, I can be humorous! Just ask me.
Now, here is the crux of this message. Don’t stop living just because your circumstances have changed. There is more than one way to live. The COVID-19 has changed our methodology, but it hasn’t changed us. We are the same people, with the same friends, the same everything.
At the time of this writing, I have three stents in coronary arteries. They are okay. The cardiac physician (the heart doc) says I have good blood flow; however, my “pump” is a little out of sorts. One chamber isn’t on good speaking terms with the other. So Monday, June 1, 2020, I will check into the hospital and they will install a pacemaker. A pacemaker is a marvelous little device (invented by man but inspired by our loving God) that will allow three, tiny wires to be strategically inserted into my heart that will require that my chambers be on speaking terms. Isn’t technology wonderful? God is greater!
I told you the above to emphasize the inevitable opportunity. In other words, we will all face challenges, but we can overcome. In the overcoming, we grow and become stronger.
Coronavirus look out! You just helped to awaken the true church of the true and Living God. We will have new experiences with Him, in Christ, through the Holy Spirit. We do not fear you! We face you with faith! We win! You lose!
